Traditional touches and premium materials for a company steeped in history
Berry Bros. & Rudd found its roots, on St James’s Street, in 1698. Traditional touches throughout reflect the company’s rich history and the interior is crafted in premium materials, ensuring a venue built for longevity. The floor is laid with 450mm wide oak staves, thick and solid, to last a lifetime and the interior doors are constructed in bronze.
The Spirits Shop was knocked through to their wine shop and to maintain continuity the ceiling was adorned with whisky barrel staves where the adjacent space features those of wine barrels.
This was a complete rip out and full interior refurbishment within a Grade 1 listed building. New heating, cooling and ventilation systems, custom furniture featuring shelves designed to showcase each product alongside carefully selected lighting. A standout feature is the exquisite tasting table, expertly crafted from a single piece of book-matched timber. The flooring was meticulously laid, and the walls received a clay render finish.
I just wanted to drop you a line to say that EC1 has be most professional , efficient, and friendly fit-out contractor I have encountered in my 8 years of dealing with many.
