Innovative accommodation project for people who are sleeping rough

Caritas Anchor House, now known as Your Place, it is a wonderful charity aimed at providing homeless people with a safe place to live, one to one support and a pathway to independence.

Hope Street is the accommodation program that we worked on, converting a large warehouse type space into 15 independent dwellings on what feels like a street or compact village.

Our part was to turn the large empty space into the independent abodes. Cut the concrete slab for new drainage and waste, built all timber structures, fitted a full lighting system and new flooring, built 15 new toilet/shower rooms, bespoke metal handrail and new stairs and installed the fire alarm system. Heavy use of OSB helped keep the costs down and is a good sustainable option.

Full fit-out with all M&E, Mezzanine, electrical lighting, pluming and all walls and ceilings.
